 21 people became victims of mine incidents this year 

Azerbaijan Campaign to Ban Landmines (NGO) has released information on recent landmine incidents. 

"Azerbaijan continues to work on the establishment of a single database of people affected by mines and unexploded ordnance in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan and solution of those problems. In June 2021 eight civilians and a serviceman have become victims of landmines. The incidents killed four civilians and injured five others in accordance with the information from the organization's official structures, regional coordinators and other sources. In June, 2021, landmine explosions took place in Tovuz, Kalbajar and Aghdam regions," head of the organization Hafiz Safikhanov told AzVision.az. 

68 Azerbaijani citizens were affected by landmines and unexploded ordnances and 21 of them were killed. 

"Besides, the information on 5 people is being clarified. On June 30, 2021, three servicemen of the Armenian army were affected by landmine blasts planted by Armenia, as a result of which one was killed and two injured in Azerbaijan's Khojavend region in the territory controlled by Russian peacekeepers," head of the organization added.
