Azerbaijan gave helping hand to other countries in COVID-19 fight, Erdogan says

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a message to the participants of the 8th Baku Global Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.

The message was read out by former Turkish PM Binali Yildirim, AzVision.az reports.

In his message, Erdogan called the Global Baku Forum ‘an important step’ towards combating the consequences of the pandemic, which has been poisoning people's lives for a year and a half.

He said that the entire world wants the pandemic to end as soon as possible, and therefore this forum is of particular importance.

The Turkish president expressed regret that not all goals have been achieved, especially the WHO goals, since some countries are busy trying to fight the pandemic alone. “However, there are countries like Azerbaijan that have extended a helping hand to others,” he said.

Erdogan noted that all countries should have the same opportunities to fight the pandemic, but, unfortunately, many countries are far behind in this.
