UK reports seven new monkeypox cases 

Monkeypox cases confirmed in the UK rose by 7 in a day to 78, the Health Security Agency said, reports citing TASS. 

This is the lowest daily increase in the number of infections this week. The country reported 36 new cases on Monday and 14 cases on Tuesday.

Monkeypox virus, which spread in April and May in a number of Western European countries, has also been detected on other continents. In addition to the UK, recent cases of infection have been reported in Australia, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Canada, Portugal, USA, France, Switzerland and Sweden.
