30 years of Azerbaijan-Romania diplomatic ties marked in Baku

A gala concert marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Romania has been held at the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall.

Ambassador of Romania to Azerbaijan Vasile Soare noted that relations between the two countries are developing dynamically. He emphasized that relevant steps are undertaken to further develop these relations.

During the event, Azerbaijani Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population Sahil Babayev highlighted the existing relations between the two countries. He said that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Romania.

Babayev noted that increasing trade turnover and further developing economic ties are among the key issues.

“Azerbaijan and Romania have signed two documents on strategic partnership. The two countries successfully cooperate and support each other within international organizations. The 14 Romanian companies operate in Azerbaijan in the fields of construction, trade, communications, transport etc. Today, many Azerbaijanis study and work in Romania. We will do our best to raise our relations to the level of a strategic alliance,” the minister emphasized.
