ANS Group of Companies president and vice-president, Vahid Mustafayev and Mirshahin Aghayev addressed the ceremony.
Mehriban Aliyeva was honored for her role as chair of the Organizing Committee in excellently delivering the first European Games, and her outstanding contribution to promoting Azerbaijan worldwide, ensuring mutual integration of Azerbaijani and global cultures, preserving and promoting multiculturalism in the country, and for her charity activity.
The ceremony also featured a video clip about Mehriban Aliyeva’s activity.
Mustafayev presented the “Person of the Year” diploma and prize money to Mehriban Aliyeva.
Mehriban Aliyeva addressed the event.
She said the prize money would be transferred to the Rehabilitation Center for People with Down Syndrome, the construction of which was initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
