Trump’s budget chief confirmed by US Senate
The Senate has approved Mick Mulvaney, nominated by President Donald Trump to head the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
The former South Carolina congressman was approved in a 51-49 vote, with Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) the lone Republican to vote in the negative, citing Mulvaney’s previous support for Pentagon budget cuts.
