Azerbaijan to be represented in meeting of CIS Council of Foreign Ministers
Azerbaijan Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov will attend the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of CIS member-countries on Tuesday in Sochi, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev told Interfax-Azerbaijan.
The agenda of the meeting includes 18 issues covering a wide range of areas of cooperation within the CIS.

Military cooperation, including the main directions of the project on the coordination of the united air defense system of US countries, will on the agenda.

During the event, decisions will be made about the projects “Concept of cooperation in combating corruption” and “Agreement on information exchange in countering terrorism and other forms of extremism as well as the financing of them.”

Moreover, participants will discuss agreeing on a number of documents aimed at deepening cooperation in the humanitarian area. These documents include the “Declaration of 2019 as the ‘Year of Book’ in CIS, and 2020 as the 75th anniversary of the Victory in Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” and others.
