Azerbaijan hails Poland’s unequivocal stance on principle of territorial integrity
This year marks the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Poland, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart Witold Waszczykowski in Baku, AzVision.az reports.
Mammadyarov recalled that a strategic partnership agreement was signed between the two countries during President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Poland in June this year.

Azerbaijan and Poland enjoy deep and broad relations within the framework of international organizations, the foreign minister said, thanking Poland for its unequivocal stance on the principle of territorial integrity and inviolability of borders.

Mammadyarov said at a meeting with his Polish counterpart they discussed a transport corridor stretching from Poland, the Baltic Sea, Ukraine, Georgia and Azerbaijan to China.

“There is also an option of a transport corridor to India via Iran. We also discussed this issue,” he said.

Poland’s president will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan in 2018, informed Mammadyarov.

He pointed out that to date, 41 documents have been signed between the two countries.

More than 10 documents between Azerbaijan and Poland are under consideration, added Mammadyarov.
