Touching upon the work of the intergovernmental joint commission, the president expressed his assurance about the further operation of the commission. Speaking about eth successful development of the relations between our countries, the head of state stressed that meetings between the president played an important role in the expansion of these relations. According to him, the cooperation between the two countries yields the result, trade turnover increased 70 percent last year, 30 percent this year, and all agreements are fulfilled.
Masoud Karbasian expressed his satisfaction with the visit to Azerbaijan as the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance of the Islamic Republic of Iran and co-chairman of intergovernmental joint commission for the first time. He said he hopes to cope with this position and contribute to development of relations: “Successful development achieved in Azerbaijan under your leadership is admirable. I congratulate you on these achievements”.
They also discussed cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, transport, North-South international transport corridor, health, agriculture, bank and finance.
