7th conference of States Parties to UN Convention against Corruption ends in Vienna
The 7th conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) has ended in the Austrian capital of Vienna.
The event brought together more than 1800 delegates from 183 states parties, non-member observer states, international organizations and NGOs.

Addressing the plenary session, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov highlighted the Azerbaijani brand “ASAN Service”, the country`s experience and achievements in fighting corruption.

Deputy Prosecutor General, Director of the Anticorruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev spoke about legislative and institutional reforms as well as activities of the Commission on Combating Corruption and Anticorruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General. Aliyev stressed the necessity of developing cooperation with the law-enforcement bodies of different countries in investigating corruption-related crimes. He also lauded the activity of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) and National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) in this direction.

The Azerbaijani delegation held bilateral meetings with their counterparts from different countries to discuss ways of widening cooperation between the anti-corruption bodies.
