He made the remarks addressing the 5th Congress of the Azerbaijani Trade Unions Confederation on Monday.
Hasanov said that this sets another task before trade unions.
“I know that the Trade Unions Confederation of Azerbaijan always expresses support for Ilham Aliyev’s presidency. I call on all of you to take part in the extraordinary presidential election. You have always supported and will continue to support Ilham Aliyev,” added the top official.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on Feb. 5 announcing extraordinary presidential election.
Under the order, the extraordinary presidential election will be held on April 11, 2018.
The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan has been instructed to ensure the holding of presidential election in accordance with the country’s Electoral Code.
