Disney releases first trailer for new Star Wars film during Super Bowl
Disney has used the Super Bowl as an opportunity to get maximum eyeballs on its first trailer for Han Solo prequel Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The 40-second clip is technically a teaser for an impending trailer, but still shows off a fair amount.

"I'm going to be a pilot - best in the galaxy," Alden Ehrenreich's young Han is heard telling an Imperial recruitment officer, before we hurtle through a series of visuals showing a grey, foggy palette for the standalone film.

Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson's characters are seen briefly, along with a younger Lando Calrissian in a giant fur played by Donald Glover.

A little action is thrown in too, along with a new look Millennium Falcon, before we finally see a non-Harrison Ford Han for the first time.

A full trailer will debut during ABC's Good Morning Americatoday (Monday), sure to be scrutinised intently by fans given the movie's turbulent production.

Original directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were fired midway through shooting and replaced by safer choice Ron Howard, leading to concerns about how this would affect the film's tone.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is set to open in cinemas 25 May.
