He was speaking Feb. 13 in Baku at a Conference on Benefits of Hosting Major Sports Events.
Carey noted that millions of people worldwide watch the Formula 1 competitions on TV, internet, etc.
He said that last year’s races were very exciting, adding that the Formula One Group will try to make the races more enjoyable for the audience this year.
It is necessary to attract people watching the Formula 1 races to Baku, he said, noting the need to promote the city more.
The 2018 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place on April 27-29.
