Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev met with UK minister of state for Europe and the Americas, Sir Alan Duncan on April 26, as part of his visit to London upon invitation of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Theresa May.
Duncan congratulated Ilham Aliyevon his re-election as the president of Azerbaijan and wished him success in his activity.
The British minister stressed that Ilham Aliyev’s re-election will ensure the continuation of Azerbaijan’s rapid development.
The sides further discussed bilateral and regional cooperation, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.
Moreover, Ilham Aliyev and Alan Duncan exchanged views on the process of negotiations on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
