President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a military unit of the Missile Troops of the Ministry of Defense.
Defense Minister Zakir Hasanovreported to President Ilham Aliyev. The construction of the military unit started in May, 2017.
The military unit, which occupies a total area of 36 hectares, features headquarters, canteen and dormitory for servicemen, sports and parade ground, garage, control checkpoint and control towers.
All necessary conditions were created for servicemen at the headquarters.
The head of state also viewed conditions created in the dormitory.
President, Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev then familiarized himself with the missile storage and loading hangar.
The head of state then viewed combat vehicles in the military hardware park.
Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev was informed of the operational and tactical missile complex “Polonaise” and tactical ballistic missile complex “Lora”.
