Palestine ambassador’s family is asked to leave US

Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) ambassador Husam Zomlot told RIA Novosti news agency that the US authorities have asked his family members to leave the country.

Earlier, the US administration had informed about the closure of PLO’s Washington D.C. office next month, arguing that the Palestinians refuse to partake in the peace initiatives by US President Donald Trump, and they plan to make Israel stand before the International Criminal Court.

The Palestinian diplomat added that the US authorities have closed the private bank accounts, as well as the PLO’s bank accounts in Washington.

The Al-Watan Voice news portal noted—citing its sources—that the US revoked the visas of Husam Zomlot’s family members, albeit these visas were valid until 2022.
