Azerbaijan’s draft state budget for 2019 sent to gov’t

Azerbaijan’s draft state budget for 2019 has been sent to the government for consideration, Azerbaijani MP Ziyad Samadzade said Sept. 24.

He was speaking at a meeting of Azerbaijan’s parliamentary committee on economic policy, industry and entrepreneurship.

Projects of the state and consolidated budget of Azerbaijan, as well as forecasts on the indicators of the consolidated budget of the country for the next three years were sent to the Cabinet of Ministers.

Azerbaijani MP Ziyad Samadzade said, speaking at a meeting of Azerbaijan’s parliamentary committee on economic policy, industry and entrepreneurship on September 24.

The Cabinet of Ministers should discuss the draft state budget and send the document for consideration by the President of Azerbaijan.

It should be noted that the revenues of the state budget of Azerbaijan in January-July of 2018 amounted to 12.078 billion manats ($7.104 billion), which is 28.4 percent more than the same period of last year. Expenditures compared to seven months in 2017 increased by 19.3 percent, to 11.649 billion manats ($6.852 billion). During the reporting period, the state budget was executed with a surplus of 428.8 million manats ($252.2 million).

In turn, Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov noted that the draft state budget of Azerbaijan for 2019 is made taking into account global financial and economic processes.

The state budget revenues for 2018 were approved at the level of 20.127 billion manat ($11.84 billion), and expenditures - 21.047 billion manats-$12.38 billion (including centralized incomes - over 19.473 billion manats ($11.45 billion) and local incomes - 653.350 million manats ($384.32 million), centralized expenses - over 20.323 billion manats ($11.95 billion) and local expenses - 723,925 million manats ($435.84 million).
