The museum is founded by outstanding religious figure Ahmad Afandi Chelebizade. He created historical museum where he was teaching and collected materials about Azerbaijan's history.
Most of the exhibits belong to Ahmad Afandi. Besides, he contacted with some organizations and achieved to bring several exhibits to the museum.
The exhibition in museum consists ancient handwritings, books, carpets and carpet materials, works of applied art, jewellery works and other exhibits.
