The Pakistani delegation then visited the Alley of Martyrs and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
Later, the guests met with Azerbaijan’s deputy ministers of emergency situations Faig Taghizade and Tapdig Amiraslanov.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Taghizade spoke about the ministry’s activities, the work carried out to prevent and eliminate the emergency situations and their consequences, cooperation with international organizations and relevant organizations of friendly countries. The deputy minister stressed that productive cooperation with Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority has a great potential.
In turn, the Chairman of Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority, Omar Mahmood Hayat, said that the beauty of the Azerbaijani capital, which is developing day by day, has left a great impression on the delegation.
The guest briefed about the National Disaster Management Authority’s activities and highlighted the importance of strengthening ties with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and of intensifying the exchange of experience.
After the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the operation of the “Operation Hall” of the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Within the framework of the visit, the Pakistani delegation will also pay a visit to the ministry’s Academy and the Sabail district State Fire Protection Unit.
