 Evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens from Ukraine continues: Foreign Ministry

The evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens from Ukraine due to the situation in the country to neighboring Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania continues, AzVision.az reports citing the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.

Since the beginning of hostilities in Ukraine, 6,500 citizens of Azerbaijan have crossed to the territory of Moldova, 770 - Poland, 318 - Romania, 60 -Slovakia, and 48 - Hungary.

“To date, 900 Azerbaijanis have been evacuated by five charter flights from Romania to Azerbaijan. The organization of charter flights for our citizens from countries bordering Ukraine, as well as evacuation by buses, will continue,” the ministry said.

For special cases, the ministry advised the Azerbaijani citizens to contact the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kyiv by calling (+380 73) 5050000 and sending e-mail to [email protected], the Honorary Consulate in Kharkiv by calling(+38057) 7000531 and sending e-mail to [email protected].
