Some 700 jobs will be created as a result of commissioning of the Garadagh solar power plant with a capacity of 230 megawatts in Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said at the press conference dedicated to the groundbreaking ceremony for the Garadagh solar power plant with a capacity of 230 megawatts, AzVision.az reports.
Shahbazov said that 25-30 more jobs can be created after the full commissioning of the solar power plant.
The construction of the Garadagh solar power plant is planned to be completed by late 2022.
Moreover, 110 million cubic meters of gas will be saved and emissions of 200,000 tons of CO2 per year will be prevented as a result of the implementation of this project.
