  Two civilians injured in landmine blast in Azerbaijan’s Aghdam

Two people  were injured in a landmine explosion in Aliaghali village of Azerbaijan’s Aghdam district liberated from occupation.

Mirfattah Baghirov, 59, and Khagani Teymurov, 51, suffered as a result of explosion of an anti-personnel mine near the former line of contact on April 12. Both of them have leg injuries, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry, General Prosecutor's Office and Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) told AzVision.az.

The Aghdam District Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the incident.

Earlier, a landmine exploded in Ahmadaghali village of Aghdam district.

A resident of the Aghdam district was wounded due to the explosion of an anti-personnel mine while grazing animals in the former contact line area, which remains uncleared of mines.

The injured man was immediately taken to the hospital.
