Happy Chinese New Year! What are the characteristics of someone born in the Year of the Dog?

Happy Chinese New Year! Today marks the first day of around 15 days of celebrations worldwide. Gifts will be given, parades will be held, and delicious food will be eaten. It also marks the start of the Year of the Dog.

Each year in the Chinese calendar is represented by an animal – with 12 animals in total. According the Chinese Zodiac, people born in the year of a certain animal will have corresponding traits and characteristics. The 12 animals are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Pig.

If you were born in a Year of the Dog, you are not only said to have the traits of other people born in different Dog Years, but will have traits based on which category pf Dog it is. For example, this year is Year of the Earth Dog.

The characteristics of those born in the Year of the Dog are not dissimilar to those dogs have. These people are considered to be brave, loyal, and have a strong sense of right and wrong. In the workplace, they are great employees to have, as they’re always honest and work very hard.

In love, they’re fiercely loyal, which can be a positive or negative depending on your outlook. Some of the downsides of people born in the Year of the Dog include irritability and stubbornness, as well as sometimes being overly critical of others.

Earth Dog characteristics are similar.

However, specifically, people born in these years will be more artistic and struggle to work in rigid, competitive environments.

That’s not to say they aren’t goal-orientated, though, as Earth Dogs are brave and ambitious with a huge sense of justice, and have the propensity to succeed in their workplace.

Those born in these years are extremely faithful to their romantic partners, but often find it difficult to make the switch from platonic conversation to a more romantic atmosphere.
