Another Armenian provocation was prevented in Saint Petersburg, Russia, AzVision.az reports citing the Russian media.
Armenian delegation attempted to present Azerbaijan`s ancient Ganja, Karabakh and Irevan lands as a part of Armenian territories at the conference dedicated to numismatics on Sept 26. After protests of Azerbaijanis participating in the conference, the provocative attempt was prevented successfully.
`Official Baku used all its possibilities to prevent the provocation. This is not the first case we have encountered`, the President of the Scientific Society for Caucasian Studies, Alexander Krylov told to rusarminfo.
Krylov also complained about the inactivity of the Armenian embassy in Russia.
`The Armenian embassy in Russia is almost inactive. The embassy does not take any measures against Azerbaijan`s initiatives. Armenian diplomats should reconsider its work plan to prevents such cases`, Krylov added.
