Trump says ceasefire violation in Nagorno-Karabakh ‘disappointing’

US President Donald Trump said the violation of the humanitarian ceasefire between Armenia and Azerbaijan is disappointing.

“Yes, disappointing when you see that,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “They don’t get together. But they’ve been at that for many, many years. Yeah, it’s disappointing to see that, but that’s what happens when you have countries — countries that have been going at it for a long time. It’ll get back together.”

On October 25, Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to a humanitarian ceasefire with the US mediation. However, Armenia, in violation of the humanitarian ceasefire, continues shelling Azerbaijan’s military positions and residential settlements.

Four civilians were killed and 13 others wounded as Azerbaijan’s Barda district was subjected to missile and heavy artillery by the Armenian armed forces on Tuesday.
