The Jordan-Azerbaijan Cultural Friendship Association was officially inaugurated in Amman.
The association’s board, which was launched at the initiative of a group of influential social and political figures thriving to contribute to reinforcing and solidifying bonds between the two brotherly countries, includes current and former MPs of the Jordanian parliament, officials of local government bodies, influential political figures and businessmen.
Speaking to the event, association’s honorary President and Jordan’s former Prime Minister Awn Khasawneh expressed his optimism that the newly established society would contribute to comprehensively strengthening friendly relations between the two countries across various domains, particularly in humanitarian, economic and cultural areas.
Association President Amer Abu Obeid outlined plans for various programs and initiatives aimed at building bridges between the two countries in further evolving friendly and collaborative ties.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Eldar Salimov hailed the initiative, describing the association’s establishment as a significant driver for fostering bilateral ties. He affirmed the embassy’s readiness to collaborate with the association in serving both friendly nations.
