Armenian diplomats admit they received aid from Iran during war with Azerbaijan
The Central Asia-Caucasus Institute at the Johns Hopkins University in Washington hosted a meeting titled "Iran and Caucasus".

Key speakers of the event were well-known experts on the region Brenda Shaffer and Alex Vatanka, as well as former ambassador of Georgia to the US Temuri Yakobavili.

They spoke about the policy of Iran in relation to different Caucasus countries and made their assessments on important points in these relations.

It was noted that Iran`s support to Armenian in the context of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict does not conform to the religious ideology of Iran`s ruling circles, and it was the support of Iran that helped Armenia during the war with Azerbaijan.

Participating at the meeting, Armenian embassy employees, commenting on the opinions of the experts, event praised relations between Armenia and Iran.

And most interestingly, the Armenian diplomats admitted that Armenia received "humanitarian aid" from Iran during the years of war.
