In the letter, Putin noted that over the past decades, much has been done to develop Russian-Azerbaijani relations based on the good traditions of friendship and mutual respect.
“A constructive political dialogue and fruitful cooperation are expanding in trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other fields. Based on tripartite agreements, concluded last year and the year before last, we are working together to strengthen stability and security in the South Caucasus region,” the Russian leader said.
“This year has been marked by an important achievement - the signing of the Declaration on Allied Interaction between Russia and Azerbaijan. I am confident that bringing bilateral relations to a new, qualitatively higher level meets the fundamental interests of our peoples,” Putin added.
The Russian president wished his Azerbaijani counterpart good health and success, and well-being and prosperity to all the citizens of Azerbaijan.
