Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestling team have finished 2nd in the overall medal table of the U-17 World Championships held in Istanbul, Türkiye.
With 108 points and five medals, Azerbaijan finished as runners-up behind Iran with 113 points. Georgia ranked 3rd with 96 points.
Azerbaijan’s Turan Dashdamirov and Roman Karimov crowned world champions, while Yusif Ahmadli bagged silver, and Elnar Ziyadov, Mikayil Ismayilov grabbed bronze medals of the championships.
