A conference titled "New Global Power Balance: Factors Determining the Future of the Turkic World" was held in Istanbul, jointly organized by the "Gizilbash" Youth Enlightenment Public Union, "Yeni Chag" Media Group, and Istanbul University Azerbaijan Culture and Unity Society.
The event focused on the future of the Turkic world, ongoing projects by the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), and upcoming initiatives.
The conference began with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, followed by a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs of both nations. Moderated by TV journalist Turan Adalatgizi, the event featured messages from Ersin Tatar, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ziyattin Kasanov, Chairman of the World Ahiska Turks Union, Kürşad Zorlu, the Ak Parti Vice Chairman responsible for Relations with the Turkic States, and Tanzila Rustamkhanli, Chairperson of the Azerbaijan-Türkiye House (ATEV) and Member of the Milli Majlis.
Agil Alasgar, member of the Board of the Azerbaijan Press Council and head of the "Yeni Chag" Media Group, highlighted the significance of Azerbaijan’s Karabakh Victory, calling it a turning point for the Turkish world. He emphasized President Ilham Aliyev’s statement: "The Organization of Turkic States is the main international organization for us because it is our family. We have no other family. Our family is the Turkic world," describing it as a roadmap for future cooperation.
Speaking on global power dynamics, Parviz Mammadzadeh, Deputy Chairman of the Turkiye-Azerbaijan Associations Federation, noted that the unity demonstrated by the leaders of the Turkic world serves as an example for global powers.
The event also featured insights from Gungor Yavuzaslan, head of the International Association of Journalists from Turkic-Speaking Countries, Adil Kocalan, President of the Istanbul Journalists Federation, and other media leaders, who discussed strategies for strengthening unity, expanding alliances, and increasing joint initiatives.
The conference concluded with a Q&A session, where participants further explored key issues affecting the future of the Turkic world.
