Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced this meeting during an interview with Turkish media, AzVision.az reports.
Fidan elaborated that the meeting between Erdogan and Putin will likely take place soon, as both leaders have expressed a strong interest in discussing various bilateral and regional issues. He highlighted that President Putin had been previously invited to visit Türkiye by President Erdogan. However, the visit had been postponed due to the timing of elections in both Russia and Türkiye, which had taken precedence over the scheduling of international visits.
During the interview, Fidan also revealed that he had delivered a message from President Erdogan to President Putin, focusing on resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The upcoming meeting in Astana is expected to cover a broad range of topics.
