The issue of ballot papers from the Central Election Commission (CEC) to district election commissions in connection with the extraordinary parliamentary election starts on 23 August, the chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said at today's meeting, AzVision.az reports.
Meanwhile, under the “Calendar plan of main actions and measures on preparation and holding of extraordinary election to Azerbaijani Parliament”, the process of preparation of ballot papers should have been completed by August 22. The process has been completed. According to the calendar plan, issuance of ballot papers from CEC to DECs should be completed by August 27.
On June 28, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the sixth convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and calling for an extraordinary election.
The snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
