“Certain African regions are enduring neo-colonialism. France should cease its illegal activities instead of accusing the Baku Initiative Group (BIG),” stated Abbas Abbasov, Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group, during a briefing in response to unfounded claims against the organization.
Abbasov emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev is one of the leaders advocating for global decolonization. “Thanks to the President's efforts in highlighting the issue of neo-colonialism, global attention has been drawn to this matter,” he said.
He further pointed out that the rights of the populations in the 13 regions currently under French occupation are not protected, describing their living conditions as deplorable.
