  SOFAZ revenues exceed $207B since establishment

The total revenues of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) from its establishment until December 31, 2024, amounted to $207.3 billion, SOFAZ Risk Management Department Director Vadim Pshenichny said at a media briefing on investment results for 2024 and prospects for 2025, AzVision.az informs, citing Report news agency.

"The total revenues from oil and gas agreements during the fund's operation period amounted to $192.4 billion (92.8% of all revenues), while investment income was $14.9 billion (7.2%)," he said.

He noted that the fund's total expenditures amounted to $147.3 billion.

Of these, transfers to the state budget of Azerbaijan amounted to $132.6 billion (90% of all expenses), $11.9 billion (8.1%) was directed to project financing, extra-budgetary expenses were $2.3 billion (1.6%), and operational expenses were $0.47 billion (0.3%).

The Azerbaijan Oil Fund, established in 1999, accumulates revenues from oil and gas contracts implementation. SOFAZ assets as of December 31, 2024, are estimated at $60.031 billion.
