New Lithuanian visa centers to be opened in Azerbaijan
Lithuanian visa centers will be opened in Azerbaijan in cooperation with an external service provider and the company VFS Global selected by way of international tender, Lithuanian news agency ELTA said.
The external service provider is a global leader and cooperates with all Schengen area partners and provides technical examination services of the Schengen visa in 1369 visa centers in 115 countries.

Main advantages of visa centers include significantly enlarged territorial coverage and better access, better quality of service. Visa centers are conveniently located, have long working hours and payments accepted in local currency or by credit cards.

Opening of visa centers and their operation will come at no additional cost for Lithuania`s budget.

Foreign citizens will be able to apply for Schengen visa directly at diplomatic and consular representations of Lithuania in their countries.

The centers include the obligation to collect biometric data of visa applicants.
Along with Azerbaijan, the new Lithuanian visa centers will also be opened in Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, China, Turkey and Armenia.

Lithuania has 16 visa centers in Russia and 13 in Ukraine.
