Azerbaijan, Hungary discuss European energy security

During the 1st Istanbul Energy Forum, Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto will discuss European energy security with Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov.

Shahbazov noted on Facebook that he would also consult on this issue with the heads of departments from Türkiye, Bulgaria, Serbia, and Slovakia, AzVision.az reports.

According to Szijjarto, US sanctions against Russia's Gazprombank threaten the energy security of several Central European countries.

"This is a deliberate attempt to jeopardize the energy security of some Central European states," he wrote, noting that Hungarian authorities continue to ensure the country's energy supply despite such sanctions.
