According to the Defense Ministry, capital assets of the Fund’s AZN account made 60,603,102, while the USD and Euro accounts made 211,791 and 593 respectively. The Fund’s USD, Euro, and Russian Ruble accounts did not receive any assets in 2014, AzVision.az reports.
The total amount of the assets of the Azerbaijan Armed Forces Assistance Fund accounted for USD 77,502,556.
Note that, the Armed Forces Assistance Fund was established under an order issued by the President of Azerbaijan on August 17, 2002.
The Fund is formed on the basis of voluntarily donations of individuals and legal entities and at the expense of the other donations not prohibited by the laws of Azerbaijan.
