Thai police receive warning of possible terror attacks in Bangkok
Thai police have received intelligence data suggesting that bombings are likely to take place in the capital of Bangkok in late October, local media reported on Tuesday.
The Nation online publication reported, citing deputy police chief Srivara Ransibrahmanakul, that there was information indicating a preparation of several car bombings in the capital and its suburbs between October 25 and 30. The targets of these attacks could be airports, parking lots, as well as various shops.

"I have already instructed police in all areas to increase screening and searching of suspicious vehicles which is in line with the anti-terrorism plans," Srivara said, stressing that such warnings emerge rather often.

According to the publication, increased security measures will be introduced in the tourist areas, the areas of embassies and other vulnerable facilities.
