Investments increase in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector
About 7.91 billion manats were invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector in January-October 2016 compared to 5.91 billion manats in the same period of 2015, the country’s State Statistics Committee said in a report as of January-October 2016.
The total amount of capital investments in the country’s industrial sector totaled 7.95 billion manats in January-October 2016, which is by 14.2 percent less than in January-October 2015.

Some 7.14 billion manats of that amount were invested in Azerbaijan’s mining industry, which is by 12.8 percent less than in January-October 2015.

Investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat totaled 224.3 million manats in January-October 2016, which is by 33.9 percent more than in the same period of 2015.
