He said that the countries successfully cooperate in many spheres, including politics, economy and culture. The development of relations is facilitated by mutual visits and meetings at different levels, he added.
Vice Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova said that both countries have good prospects for expanding ties. She noted that the trade turnover between the two countries grew from $17.3 million in 2016 to $26 million by the end of 2017. Thus, Azerbaijan has the biggest trade turnover with Lithuania among the Baltic countries, Muradova said.
She added that mutual visits at the highest level, as well as fruitful work at the interparliamentary level significantly contribute to the development of the Azerbaijani-Lithuanian relations.
