Heydar Aliyev Foundation to organize exhibition on Azerbaijan
On May 4, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will organize an exhibition named “Azerbaijan: from tradition to modernity” at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation told.

The city residents and guests will be presented three exhibitions; “Azerbaijan: from tradition to modernity”, an exhibition dedicated to the Baku 2015 first European Games and “Modern Azerbaijani art”.

The exhibition named “Azerbaijan: from tradition to modernity” will display archeological samples found in the country, coins circulated in Azerbaijan in ancient and medieval era, samples of jewelry, copperware, national musical instruments, garments, carpets, etc.

Small bronze sculptures on the 20 kinds of sports cast by the country’s well-known sculptors and young talents will be showcased in the exhibition dedicated to the Baku 2015 first European Games.

The exhibition “Modern Azerbaijani art” will display works by prominent artists, including Ashraf Murad, Rasim Babayev, Togrul Narimanbeyov, Darvin Valibayov, Mammad Karim Guliyev, Altay Sadigzade, Sabir Chopuroglu, Elyar Alimirzayev, Museyib Amirov, Niyaz Najafov, Orkhan Huseynov and Faig Ahmad, and sculptural works by Leyla Aliyeva, Kenan Aliyev, Ahad Mammadov and Nurlan Mammadov.

On May 6, an opening ceremony of the exhibition devoted to the Karabakh horses and Chovgan riding game which was included into the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage will be held, and the “Le cheval Karabakh” book by French writer Jean-Louis Gouraud will be presented.
