The United Kingdom has appointed Duncan Norman as its new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan, the British Embassy reported on its X page .
Sharing the news on his social media account, Norman said he was honored to be appointed and expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
"I look forward to building on the foundations of our bilateral relations and continuing the important work on our shared priorities to deepen the UK-Azerbaijan partnership," he said.
Norman will succeed Fergus Auld and is expected to assume his post in May 2026.
