40 supporters of Kyrgyz ex-president detained during riots in Bishkek

Forty supporters of the Kyrgyz ex-president, Almazbek Atambayev, were detained during the riots in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek police department reported.

According to the Central Internal Affairs Directorate, about 1.5 thousand people tried to destabilize the situation in the capital of Kyrgyzstan on the night of August 9.

According to the latest data, 98 people applied for medical care on August 7-8.

Atambayev was arrested until August 26 and charged with corruption.
