Boeing 737 en Route to Moscow from Ulan-Ude performs emergency landing

Last week, Russia's An-12 military transport aircraft made an emergency landing in Koltsovo Airport in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia over chassis malfunction, Sputnik reports.

A Boeing 737 belonging to Smartavia airline has performed an emergency landing in Krasnoyarsk, Russia over reported explosive device onboard.

According to a company's representative, local police managed to track down and arrest the alleged perpetrator, who turned out to be a late passenger.

The aircraft was airborne for three hours.

The landing in Krasnoyarsk comes amid an incident in the region as a dam on a water reservoir belonging to a gold-mining company collapsed near the settlement of Shchetinkino, killing at least 11 people.
