Photo exhibition dedicated to First European Games opened in Paris
The opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "Azerbaijan: sports in camera lens" has been held in Paris, France.
The event was jointly organized by the Operation Committee of the First European Games, European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS), the National Olympic and Sports Committee of France and the National Sports Museum in Nice.

The exhibition organized at the headquarters of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of France on the European Games will last till June 28.

The photos to be showcased at the Paris Sports Palace, were chosen in 2014 by the European Azerbaijan Society in a photo contest. The photos were selected from 300 photographs of professional and amateur photographers from around the world. The theme of the contest was dedicated to the First European Games.

Baku 2015 is the first ever European Games, an exciting and innovative multi-sport event for the continent which will take place on June 12-28, 2015.

There will be a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe will be representing their nations over 17 days of competition.

Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
