Serbian footballer arrested for violating coronavirus curfew

Serbia striker Aleksandar Prijovic was arrested on April 3 for violating the Balkan nation's coronavirus curfew, AzVision.az says, citing Reuters.

"They violated the curfew as they were having drinks in the restaurant lobby of a Belgrade hotel after the 5 p.m. deadline, and there were more than five people present in total" national police director Vladimir Rebic said.

The Serbian government has imposed a curfew from 17: 00 to 5: 00 on weekdays and from 13: 00 on Saturdays to 5: 00 on Mondays to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
