The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Canada rose to 35,392 from 33,922 on 19 April, the country's public health agency said, AzVision.az reports citing Sputnik. 

The death toll from COVID-19 also rose from 1,506 to 1,611, the agency added. 

Globally, the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections has exceeded 2,314,621, with 157,847 fatalities, the WHO says.

According to the World Health Organisation, the number of COVID-19 cases globally stands at 2,314,621, with 157,847 deaths.
