Azerbaijan to account for 91,2% of imported gas by Georgia

Georgia will import 2 385.2 mcm of gas from Azerbaijan in 2020, AzVision.az reports.

Azerbaijan remains the main supplier of blue fuel to Georgia in accordance with the balance of natural gas approved by the Ministry of Economic Development for 2020.

At the same time, within the framework of the Shah Deniz project, 873.8 mcm will be delivered to Georgia in 2020 (growth by 3.6%) and by SOCAR – 1 511.4 mcm (decrease of 6.9%).

Next year, Georgia also plans to import natural gas from Russia in the amount of 169.9 mcm, which is 18% higher than the current year.
