"Of course, combat capability is our priority. All the factors that I mentioned before seek to increase our combat capability and necessary steps have been already taken. Military operations conducted in 2016 and 2018 proved the combat capability of Azerbaijan. We liberated a part of Fuzuli, Jabrayil and Agdara districts from the enemy in 2016 and raised the Azerbaijani flag in those lands. We entered the trenches dug by the Armenians in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.

As a result of the successful Nakhchivan operation, we liberated more than 10,000 hectares from the occupiers and reached strategic heights. We can see the road from Armenia to the Nagorno-Karabakh. Therefore, additional measures must be taken to increase the combat capability of the Azerbaijani army to ensure that we are ready at any time to restore our territorial integrity.

We will restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, no one should doubt about it. However, we need to get stronger and regularly control the geopolitical situation. Also, we should analyze properly the situation in the international sphere and build friendly relations with other countries. I have to say that the number of countries supporting Azerbaijan is increasing day by day", Ilham Aliyev added.
