 Azerbaijan may extend special quarantine regime

Azerbaijan may extend the coronavirus-related special quarantine regime, said Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs of the Presidential Administration.

Hajiyev made the remarks Tuesday during a briefing of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, AzVision.az reports. 

“There are proposals and opinions to extend the special quarantine regime for another two weeks. A decision on this issue will be announced in the coming days,” he noted.

The presidential aide said the main goal of the state is to ensure the safety of people during the ongoing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hajiyev also emphasized that Azerbaijan continues international cooperation regarding fighting COVID-19.
